Brad Toews is fluent in two languages, English and Music. Both dialects began developing at a young age with the early introduction of formal piano lessons and regular performances.

As a teenager, Brad completed his grade 10 RCM, as well as advanced theory and counterpoint. At about the same time, playing by ear and the art of improvising reared its creative head and became part of his vocabulary.

Driven to communicate within this idiom, Brad enrolled in Humber College and received his B.A. in jazz performance. After a successful post education and the recipient of the CARAS Award (scholarship for highest academic achievement), Brad occupied the piano chair in a Christian band called Capstone. The group recorded and performed extensively for five years, receiving both national and international acclaim.

Brad continues to perform with various artists and is a sought after piano player in the Christian music scene.

Recently, Brad launched a teaching studio in Guelph, ON called “Linus Music.” As a licensed Simply Music teacher, Brad is enabling students to play great sounding music - from their very first lessons.
